The BISITE research group (http://bisite.usal.es) of the University of Salamanca, organiser of PAAMS 2012, offers 50 grants/awards to facilitate the attendance to doctoral and young doctors both to the event itself (including Workshops and Special Sessions) and to the parallel collocated events.

The International Symposium on Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence 2012 is an annual forum that will bring together ideas, projects, lessons, etc.. associated with distributed computing, artificial intelligence and its applications in different themes. This meeting will be held in Salamanca in parallels with PAAMS'12 in March 28th-30th, 2012.
This symposium will be organized by the Bioinformatic, Intelligent System and Educational Technology Reseach Group (http://bisite.usal.es/) of the University of Salamanca. The technology transfer in this field is still a challenge and for that reason this type of contributions will be specially considered in this symposium. This conference is the forum in which to present application of innovative techniques to complex problems.
The artificial intelligence is changing our society. Its application in distributed environments, such as the Internet, electronic commerce, mobile communications, wireless devices, distributed computing, and so on is increasing and is becoming an element of high added value and economic potential, both industrial and research. These technologies are changing constantly as a result of the large research and technical effort being undertaken in both universities and businesses. The exchange of ideas between scientists and technicians from both academic and business areas is essential to facilitate the development of systems that meet the demands of today's society.

A special issue in International Journal of Imaging and Robotics (IJIR),(http://ceser.res.in/iji.html) will include a selection of between the best papers published in the symposium. This special issue will contain papers with robotics applications. |

- Special Issue of the International Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence (IJIMAI) with best papers from the DCAI'12 conference will be published. The International Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence - IJIMAI (ISSN 1989 - 1660) provides an interdisciplinary forum in which scientists and professionals can share their research results and report new advances on AI tools or tools that use AI with interactive multimedia techniques.
- A special issue of the International Journal of Management and Production Engineering Review (MPER) with papers from the DCAI'12 conference will be published. Other potential special issues are also been negotiated.
- Accepted papers will be published in the Advances in Intelligent and Soft-Computing series of Springer.
DCAI 2012 is sponsored by the IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society Spain Section Chapter and the IEEE Spain Section (Technical Co-Sponsor).
